Why only proximity probe is having working voltage as -24v?

PROXIMITY PROBE:
It uses NPN transistor, majority of other instrument uses floating voltage as +24 (due to PNP ).

control valve engineering job oriented questions

What is mean by CV of control valve?

CV mean valve co-efficient or co-efficient of valve, which can be described as,
Flow rate of water from inlet to outlet of control valve under the following condition condition

  1. Valve open.
  2. One PSI pressure on input and output.
  3. Water at 60 Fahrenheit
Unit of CV = US GALLONS/MINUTE.

What you know about TRIM of control valve?

All the contacting part of valve body with the process fluid.
                               OR
All the removable part of valve body.

Scope and job opportunities in Instrumentation engineering.

what is Engineering?

ENGINEERING is the studies application of scientific and mathematical principles to practical ends such as the design, manufacture, and operation of efficient and economical structures, machines, processes, and systems.

Instrumentation engineering and its job scope

Instrumentation engineering : To measure, monitor and control the process variable is called instrumentation engineering.

Job scope:

Applied Electronics & Instrumentation is a pioneer field of engineering in the modern era. In this fast growing age of automation and process industries, instrumentation engineer is an inevitable choice of every industry. Instrumentation is the technology of creating, constructing and maintaining the measuring and control devices. An instrumentation engineer works with scientists developing and designing highly complex instruments to measure and record data, control and regulate operation of machinery or measure the variables encountered in industrial processes.
The Applied Electronics & Instrumentation engineering deal with calibration and maintain the sensors and control equipment present in any industrial plant such as power plants, refineries, compressor stations, or water treatment facilities. This is a rapidly changing field that will require updated skills and knowledge to work with the latest computer based equipment commonly being used in the industrial control area.
 Scope of instrumentation in India:
Developing country like India having bright job scope in instrumentation engineering in the field like refineries petrol-chemical plants, power plants, automation industries, biochemical plants and even in small scale industries also.
You have a very good scope in India for the Instrumentation and control. there are lot of MNC working in PLC/DCS area such as Honeywell, Emerson, Invensys and may more. Being India as low cost centre may companies executes their Automation projects from India. India it self has quite big customer base for this market.
If you are looking for good money try to get job in Middle east it is Oil and gas reach field and many end users need instrumentation guys but always to better work in our own country
